The Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, proudly convenes this international scientific conference in celebration of the birth centenary of one of Bangladesh's foremost chemists and educators. The centenary celebration of Late Professor Dr. Md. Ali Nawab is conceived as an academic and commemorative initiative to honor his enduring contributions to the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka and to the advancement of physical chemistry, with particular emphasis on colloidal science. This event aims to recognize his pioneering role as a teacher, researcher, and mentor whose work laid foundational insights in colloid and interface science and inspired generations of chemists.
This conference will integrate a memorial event, bringing together eminent scholars, former students, and early-career researchers to reflect on Professor Dr. Md. Ali Nawab’s scientific legacy and to explore contemporary developments in physical and colloidal chemistry. This international conference convenes leading researchers and practitioners to interrogate the frontiers of physical chemistry and colloidal science. Thematic emphasis is placed on next-generation nanomaterials, catalytic mechanisms, soft matter physics, adsorption science, sustainable chemistry, and environmental applications. Sessions integrate theory, computation, and experiment, fostering rigorous cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaborative scientific inquiry.
