Poster Submission and Presentation Guidelines

The poster session is a highly interactive component of the conference, designed to foster scholarly exchange and intellectual curiosity in the spirit of the late Professor Nawab’s mentorship. Presenters must submit a digital version of their poster prior to the event for final review.

1. Digital Poster Submission (Required)

  • File Format: Submit your digital poster as a PDF or high-resolution JPG.

  • Submission Method: Upload your poster file exclusively through the conference website portal.

  • Poster Submission Deadline: 02 November 2026 (This serves as the acceptance of your submitted abstract).

  • Final Acceptance Notification: 05 November 2026

2. Physical Poster Dimensions and Orientation

  • Size: Standard A0 size (84.1 cm width × 118.9 cm height).

  • Orientation: Portrait (vertical) orientation is strictly required. Oversized or landscape posters will not fit on the provided display boards.

3. Design and Layout

  • Title and Authors: The top of the poster should feature the title, author names, and affiliations. Lettering for the title should be large enough to read from at least 2 meters away (e.g., 72-point font or larger).

  • Visual Balance: Emphasize visual aids such as charts, graphs, and high-quality images. Keep text blocks concise; use bullet points where possible to enhance scannability.

  • Readability: Use a legible sans-serif font (e.g., Arial, Calibri) for the main text. Ensure all body text can be comfortably read from a distance of 1.5 meters (at least 24-point font).

4. Content Structure

A successful scientific poster generally includes the following sections:

  • Introduction/Background: The context of the study and its relevance to surface or colloidal chemistry.

  • Objectives: A clear statement of the research goal.

  • Methodology: Brief outline of experimental or theoretical methods.

  • Results & Discussion: The core findings, heavily supported by clear visuals.

  • Conclusion: Key takeaways and future implications.

5. On-Site Presentation Logistics

  • Setup: Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their physical posters to the venue. Display boards and mounting materials will be provided. Please hang your poster by [Time] on [Date].

  • Session Attendance: Presenters must stand by their posters during the designated interactive poster session to discuss their work with attendees, eminent scholars, and fellow early-career researchers.
